For more than 20 years, Trey Cole has been designing and building exclusive residential projects throughout the Greenville area including historic downtown, the surrounding foothills, Paris Mountain and Lake Keowee. Trey designs and builds both new homes and renovations/additions to existing homes. He is currently building Craftsman Court, a first-of-its-kind project designed by Trey, featuring five new single-family homes in historic downtown Greenville.
A lifelong resident of Greenville, Trey has been a licensed residential builder in South Carolina since 1984. His construction company, O'Leary-Cole Inc. is fully insured and a longstanding active member of the Home Builders Association of Greenville. As both a designer and a builder, Trey brings a unique hands-on perspective to his design work that simplifies and streamlines the transition from design to construction, allowing efficiency in communication, materials, budgeting and planning.
As a designer, Trey is an artist and recognized scholar of the Arts & Crafts Movement and Stickley's Craftsman Architecture, and an expert in Mission furniture, lighting and decor. Downtown Greenville, rich with native Bungalows and residents who value historical authenticity, has been fertile ground for much of Trey's work. In 2004, an Arts & Crafts-style home he designed and built on Lake Keowee was awarded "Home of the Year" by Builder/Architect Magazine. Trey also participates in the international Arts & Crafts Conference held in Asheville, NC each February.
Trey works closely with clients to design a living space that supports their personal lifestyle and interests and that ties in gracefully with the building lot, existing structures and surrounding neighborhood. During construction, Trey provides architectural supervision and visits the site regularly. Trey has many return clients and nearly all of his business has been generated through client referrals.
